This novel, set in Durban and the mountains of Lesotho, (look at some of the photos on the website and you'll see why) looks at a young girl's search for a meaningful reality in her world outside the ugly, mundane life she leads with her slob of a mother and her promiscuous sister.
Her journey through the Lesotho landscape is a declaration of my love for this country; in Kat, my young girl, I have put all the strength and determination for life I always hoped for (and got) in my children.
