I wrote this book when my daughter Jemma was about to begin high school; I dedicated it to her. In it I look at the pressures young people, especially girls, are under to begin a sexual relationship too young; I explore the importance of becoming your own person, making your own decisions and standing up against peer pressure. My protagonist is the kind of young woman I wanted my daughter to become, strong and independent, standing up for her beliefs.
