Take an old banger worth no more than £100.00; spend no more than £15.00 preparing it and then drive it unsupported from Plymouth to Banjoul in The Gambia, then auction it for charity - that's The Challenge!

A friend and I completed this in December 2004-January 2005 in an old left-hand-drive Ford Fiesta, fulfilling a dream of mine to drive in the Sahara. (I always thought I'd be doing it in a 4X4 though!)
